By train:
The railway system in Italy is excellent. The nearest railway station is in Arezzo, about 40 minutes away. The Arezzo train station is on the main line between Florence and Rome. Once in Arezzo, you must rent a car. There is an Avis / Budget office directly opposite the train station. There are also a Europcar and Hertz in Arezzo, but these are further away and will require a taxi to get to and from the train station.
